Our 3/16" thick skid plate is made from a solid sheet of steel then bent, formed, and hand welded into it's highly protective shape. Designed to work in conjunction with and requires our RH-5001 Jeep Wrangler JK Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier or RH-5000 Jeep Wrangler JK Rear Bumper without Tire Carrier or our RH-5040 Aluminum Jeep Wrangler JK Rear Bumper without Tire Carrier weighing in at 40 lbs.

Our system is cut and formed from a single sheet making it smooth and seamless. This gives you a true skid plate without rock catching and high centering flaws found in low-budget alternatives.

NOTE: This RH-5001-A requires a RH4x4 rear bumper.

Mounting
RH4x4 was the first to use precision bent drop brackets that use your rear sway bar mounts, not rubber exhaust mounts, as front support locations. This means our skid transfers drivetrain vibration thought your chassis. This allows your muffler to continue to flex in its mounts naturally without bracing your muffler to your frame rails - completely negating the cushion those rubber mounts are designed to provide. This makes for a smoother and quieter ride like factory without the creaks, ringing, vibrating, and harsh performance of inferior systems.

Does this work with factory rear plastic or steel bumper?
The Rock Hard 4x4 muffler skid plate ONLY works with a Rock Hard 4x4 rear bumper.

Do I experience any driveline vibration or noise?
No. Muffler Skid Plates mounts away from all driveline components giving you factory like performance. You'd never know the skid was even installed!

Is any welding required?
No. Our mounting method allows for a DIY no-weld, truly bolt-in install.

What finish is available?
Rock Hard 4x4 skid plates ship powder coated black with a semi-smooth, semi-gloss finish.

Where is this mount made?
This product, like all RH4x4 parts, was designed, developed, tested, manufactured, and if applicable, powder coated, and shipped in the USA. And we don't mean the 75% legal standard to be able to say Made in USA. We are 100% Made in the United States of America!
